This restaurant is a hidden gem, conveniently located away from the main routes. It features a cozy, old-fashioned decor that tastefully blends elements from various periods, showcasing wood and exposed brick that create a warm, fire-side ambiance. The service was both attentive and friendly, perfectly complementing the food, which represents a delightful fusion of country pub fare, continental dishes, and modern cuisine. The warm Scotch egg and fried chicken strips from the snack menu are both outstanding. The wine list is extensive and carefully curated, and there’s a great selection of keg and cask ales alongside an impressive gin menu. Overall, the quality of the food and drink is excellent, all offered at very reasonable prices.

I had a fantastic Sunday roast! The cauliflower cheese was especially delicious and reasonably priced. All the vegetables were tasty, and the meat was cooked to perfection. A friend of mine ordered the lamb and claimed it was the best he had ever tasted. The service was attentive without being intrusive; the staff was very friendly, and the atmosphere was quiet and beautiful.

The ambiance and atmosphere of the restaurant were lovely. The menu was somewhat limited, but there were enough options to choose from. The fish and chips were served in generous portions and came out piping hot. They were certainly good pub-style fish and chips, though not extraordinary. I would consider returning. The service was friendly, too.

My son and daughter in law took me to Mother's Day and it was amazing! eating was so good, they were fast and the staff was so friendly! I would definitely recommend you to come here! well done, keep them the excellent service!

I love this place, great staff. Garden has a shelter and blankets plus pillows. Amazing food that changes regularly and such a nice atmosphere will always recommend :
