During my visit on a Friday evening in November at 7pm, the restaurant was bustling with Asian customers, with a few Westerners sprinkled in. The back room was occupied by young adults dining with their parents, while other tables were filled with university students. I could hear Mandarin being spoken as the dominant dialect, with some southern accents, such as Cantonese, also present. The menu caters to those with a love for Chinese cuisine. It seems that the clientele (and possibly the chefs) have evolved over time to create a unique dining experience.
As I listened in, I noticed that Mandarin was the predominant dialect, with hints of southern accents like Cantonese in the mix. The menu at Noodle King would surely appeal to fans of Chinese cuisine. It seemed to have evolved over time to cater to the diverse clientele, featuring a range of dishes from southern Chinese barbeque and noodle houses to Northern Chinese and Sichuan specialties. Overall, Noodle King Restaurant provides a unique dining experience that reflects the rich cultural diversity of Nottingham. It's a must-visit for anyone looking to explore authentic Chinese flavors in the heart of the city.
Don 't come here if you are looking for Roast Chicken Chinese Style and a Special Chop Suey . Noodle King caters extensively to the local Chinese population and the food is very similar to what I have had when travelling out in that part of the world. This means some chicken dishes are severed chopped with bones in, some dishes are offal based and so on. If in doubt ask...
My friends invited me to this modest looking establishment. They have decided not to have children and to spend their money on the good things in life which includes eating out every evening. Their normal types of venues being Harts, Chino Latino, World Service, Ibireco etc. I thought they had lost their marbles when we arrived. They ordered for me and ordered one course at a time so that the mains did not arrive before the starters. We had spare ribs with salt and pepper, chicken wings and the mixed seafood platter. The starters were enough to make me realise that this place was extraordinary. One waitress who wore thick round glasses talked to me throughout the first course in maandarin, perhaps she thought I was chinese. While she was still talking I popped to the loo and when I returned she was still talking to my empty chair. Curious. She then went to the owner and pointed at me whilst whispering in his ear.
I'm a hong kong local, so bubble tea is just a comfort food from home, it's almost become a necessity! Now I can get it fresh all the time! The food looks amazing here and I can't wait to try it out!
