Great grilled chicken with honey (just choose it if you like sweet food, really) served with rice and good old music to wait for your meal. The cantonese rice is also tasty, but somewhat dry to my taste. Staff are nice if there are not too many people (I did not test it when the place is full and busy). Meals are expensive, but this is the case in the whole area and it is even a bit cheaper than most places around.
Absolutely delicious food. Had Calamari and a fresh yarn salad, followed by cream brulee. So much wonderful taste in food. Excellent service!!! Very warm for non-French speaking customers. Will go back to try more dishes. Very recommended!
What a life saving!!! A week in Noumea and absolutely all the food we had so far, I mean, we spend a whack on trying to find half decent food!!! Was absolutely shocking! No one seems to know how to really get fresh ingredients, herbs or something else than too much salt until we have a chance at Oncle Ho! What a beauty! Eating was just fantastic! Fresh ingredients dance a useful amount of taste!! We had a Thom kha.. that was not what was used to, but super delicious, also Larb gai was super fresh and just so delicious! Thx for finally supplying a good food!
This is a revised review, based on three recent visits to this restaurant. My previous review gave this place 2 stars and we stopped going there about 3 years ago. Since then, it has has apparently undergone new management and is quite a pleasant dining experience. The Pho is vastly improved over what it was like before. The Thai soup Tom Kha is not only delicious, but an incredible bargain at 1550 XPF. They also have an all you can eat Pho special at 1950. Service is quick since they now employ enough service people. So, I now highly recommend this place, replacing my previous review of three years ago where I was very critical.
