Aurora - Novato

Best Italian food in Novato . Been there several times and I'm comparing to other local restaurants- love the salmon and chicken piccata

This place is tucked in the industrial part of Bel Marin Keys, and it's a neighborhood gem. Good food, good service, and great prices. We had many items from the menu on various visits, seafood pasta, veal and chicken scallopinis, fried pork chop, all delicious. Many wines by the glass to choose from (the Montepulciano is very good, and only $10 a glass). Can't find fault with any of the dishes. Service may be a bit slow, but Covid changed everything and we're good with it. It gives you a reason to savor the food.

Bland. Water so salty it reminds me of my Sicilian grandma is what my husband says when he salts water before boiling pasta. This food was not salted. Not the water, not while cooking, not even finishing salt. I remember liking this place in the past. Not today. Expensive lunch that wasn 't delicious.

I had thought that this restaurant had closed down, but apparently it just switched management/owners. I went with my family for an early dinner, and we sat outside. The outside area is really perfect for families.Food was all really delicious. My kids devoured the calamari appetizer, and we shared the tortellini and chicken Parmesan. Was a highly enjoyable experience, eating with the kids, and apparently that they were understaffed, but we didn't even notice.
