The pasta was light and fluffy and you didn't feel disgustingly full after eating it. The pizza was delicious with a slight char from the wood fired oven. The restaurant has a good energy and parking isn't too bad for South Tampa. It is a little pricey, but everything is nowadays.
Atmosphere was decent. Definitely a more college aged crowd (which isn’t horrible). Got the maple old fashion which was really good. Food was decent but lacked in the flavor department.
I eat out often and I must say Ava in SoHo is one of the best restaurants around!!! I love the people! I love the food! I love the atmosphere! You can drink and have a great conversation at the bar, you can dine in and feel fancy with your family and friends, you can even sit outside and have a pleasant night with the wine service and beautiful view of the city street, not many places come close to this amazing restaurant! You may even bump into some legends!
I had a lovely lunch here. The pizza is made in a wood-fired oven. I had a gluten free crust and it was the best gf crust I’ve had. Excellent service. Also, I forgot my to go box with half my pizza in it and came back after it had already been thrown away, so they made me a whole new pizza free of charge!
Service was a little less than expected. We were in a private room with one server who rarely attended us. One example is that I ask for butter with my bread. The server said I did not need butter with the bread. I explained that I would like the butter anyway. She did not bring the butter until the bread was extinguished. Disappointing
