Contribuisci feedbackWhat a spot! We had been doing a day trip and decided to stop for a meal after walking by and smelling the amazing flavours. The restaurant and service area are very well presented, the staff equally so. The communications to us about a little wait was appreciated, yet still didn't take too long. Very well priced for quality fresh food. The only downside was, being a hot day, the air con in the waiting area was struggling. I could see ladies in the side restaurant room moping themselves. On the upside, it will be perfect in winter! When you go, you must try the Portuguese tart, they are to die for!
Stumbled upon The Portuguese Corner on Trip Advisor a few weeks ago and finally went for lunch with my wife today. Absolutely delicious food and lovely staff. This is not your typical boutique restaurant, the serving sizes are very generous. Finally some more choice for good food in Nowra. Theu also have a few Portuguese beers available.
This restaurant opened in 2018 and we visited it in February this year. We had a great time and the food was superb! The menu consists of whole chicken barbequed on wood charcoal, beef or chicken pieces on the spit and pork belly with the crackling! You can combine these with delicious salads and potatoes. This is a family business and the service is excellent! Highly recommended!
Just dropped in for a quick bite with the wife and was blown away by the pork belly slab on display and the open plan that created a welcoming and inviting environment. Now my missus and I don’t eat much pork, but this pork belly looked exquisite and tempted me to order the pork belly burger. I paired this with a Portuguese stout a variety of Portuguese beers for sale) and we locked eyes after our first bite. The pork belly was generous in its serve but the overall balance of flavours was accomplished by the combination of freshly made slaw and homemade chilli mayo. Do yourselves a favour. Order the pork belly before I eat it all. Incredible. Nowra needs this kind of diversity of culinary experiences.
Order the beef, chicken, and paella mains to share...... awesome. Authentic Portuguese I went there with my family, the service was great. We had a bottle of a Portuguese red, a side of chips and the ‘migas’ side. Shared everything. Really glad this is in Nowra from someone who has tried Portuguese food overseas.
