Cafe Holmen - Nykobing Mors

I saw the last review that said their vegetarian things could be made vegan so went in and order the burger but vegan. The waitress asked the chef and told me that it was not vegan. I asked if they were sure and she came back and said the patty has both eggs and some milk. I asked if there was anything vegan that they could serve and they told me even their hummus was not vegan because of the oil. I was really confused and asked if she knew what vegan meant. She went back to ask the chef and said that it was something about the way the oil was made, that it was not cold pressed or something. I try to explain what vegan meant but at that point I just wanted to get it over with so I asked they made something (if I hadn’t had my kid with me I would have left but my kid was hungry and I had promised them food so I stayed). I got a really tasty salad but the whole experience makes me not want to come back.

Great sandwich. You have to state clearly that you need a vegan meal, but then they have a burger, sandwich and a salad that can be made vegan from vegetarian.

At first visit this place I loved the layout and atmosphere. because the weather was so cold and wet, it was nice to get into the inner where it was warm, I had the huh and speck sandwich with salat. that was deliciously absolutely loved. very tasty. I would recommend it. it would be a nice place to lunch with friends or family. smagt godt mange tak.
