Hands down the best place in town! The atmosphere and the outdoor seating area is just great! Their vegetarian food is truly amazing and far tastier than most meat-options in town. Their glazed vego wings and halloumibites along with a cold beer is a thing of dreams! Definetly worth a visit!
At First glance this pied a terre restaurant held some promise in what is after all a desert of culinary options. The decor fell somewhere between a 1970’s living room, a 19th century townhouse and an ethnic craft shop. Quirky is fine I suppose, it’s not a criticism. As a vegan I suffer from lack of real options when traveling, and my fallback is to order a green salad with sun dried tomatoes or such. This was not possible. I had hoped that there may be a roasted vegetable option. Alas also not. The staff were helpful attentive and friendly. The food was very well presented, although the portions could have been more generous, the meal was reasonably satisfying and quite enjoyable. There is unfortunately the nagging thought that it was overall a bit disappointing. The menu is set, and claims to have vegan options, switching for example goats cheese to a vegan substitute, but this leaves me a little cold; without the assurance of a dedicated vegan dish I can easily lose confidence in whether the dish is really vegan. It was reasonably priced, however Sweden is expensive and the bill was close to 800Sek £70 for 4 mains 1 sweet and a small beer. Great that the water attracted no charge. I believe the owners are making a real effort and offer genuine vegetarian options and dishes, although they appear to be mimicking meat dishes more than offering clear simple vegetarian options. This is understandable probably due to the traditional high meat and game consumption tastes in what after all is a semi rural area. As such I applaud them for their efforts. I would still recommend the restaurant for vegetarians as I am commenting as a vegan only, and for those who enjoy pastries it had an excellent sweet counter. The option of a green salad, roasted vegetable and a dedicated vegan dish would have gained one more star.
The restaurant offers fantastic vegetarian dishes, a wide selection of craft beer, attentive service, a pleasant atmosphere, and a great soundtrack to top it off.
A very good vegetarian menue, interesting combinations and a so friendly staff. Located in a familiar place with a nice garden
