Sal De Allo - O Grove

Stopped into O Grove on our Galician holiday in late June 2018 with the 5 kids and 4 adults looking for a nice lunch spot. We came upon Sal del Allo near the port and were welcomed warmly by the staff even with a large table request without reservation. Adults went for the seafood rice with lobster which was incredible great flavours and lobster was done to perfection. Kids were delighted with the fish and chips the fish so fresh and batter very light crispy not your usual fish chips! All washed down with a lovely Albarino. The waitress was very patient with us and my almost passable Spanish.

The food was good and the place is nice, even if quite small. However, the waiters seemed bothered and the service was poor. The personal (including waiters, cooks and owner) were watching a football match, with high volume in the restaurant. It was very uncomfortable. At the end of the dinner, when we asked for the bill to the waitress, the owner of the restaurant went behind her whispering some words and left back to the main room. The waitress gave us the bill, unexpectedly higher than what it was supposed to be. They charged 3 bottles of water extra and 2 breads that we did not order! When we asked to the waitress to correct the bill, the owner came back to her, with an angry face, they exchange a look and she agreed to modified the bill. So if you do not want to be stolen, either check well your bill, or do not go there.

Productos típicos de la zona pero tratados de una manera diferente. El toque del wok y la parrilla al marisco va genial. todo era muy bueno, pero para destacar el cangrejo chili de, en nuestro caso buey de mar, aunque es generalmente de centollo, no se puede ir de. o gemir sin intentarlo! muy buena atención, son un gran equipo. ¡Por cierto, nos encontraremos en los mercados medievales!

Muy buen restaurante de cocina moderna con el toque de la cocina japonesa en buen estado de la tradición gallega. la calidad de la gran comida. el único error que puedo decir es que al pedir comer sólo la entrada de la carta era demasiado rápido en el servicio, no dejar disfrutar entre el plato y el plato.

Experiencia inolvidable! producto de alta calidad tratado con mimo y con un toque diferente. Me encantó desde la primera vez que fui y después de las 5 me dieron aún más.
