China City - Oak Harbor

This was my first time here. The staff was fantastic at facilitating our whacky family dinner! Food was fantastic with great variety. Service was equally fantastic. Will definitely be back the next time we visit.

I recently visited this restaurant for the first time for a business Christmas party, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The building looked newly constructed with nice finishes, giving off a lasting impression. The interior was equally impressive, resembling that of a high-end Chinese restaurant you would find in New York or New Jersey. We enjoyed a buffet-style layout brought directly to our table, where the hostess ordered almost everything on the menu, allowing us to try a wide variety of dishes. Some of my favorites were the kung pao chicken, szechuan beef, and hot and sour soup - all delicious and flavorful. The service was friendly and efficient, even with our large party of 23. I highly recommend this place and have already returned twice. The chicken wraps are also a must-try!

The food at this restaurant is enjoyable, with the sweet and sour pork being a particular standout. However, the hot mustard has an unusual flavor and the almond chicken lacks appetizing gravy. The chicken chow mein also could use more vegetables. On the other hand, we really enjoyed the house fried rice.
