Ahoy Doughnuts - Oak Island

Whether a visitor or a local, this is a jewel that you should not pass while in the area. The cakes are of stellar quality; hot, fresh and made with custom toppings before noon. They also serve coffee drinks and are currently updating their menu to include specialties such as lattes. While the donuts are in any case the main drawing of this spot, the ice is served here also exceptionally well, and 2 flavors for those who are lactose-intolerant (sometimes I have not found in any other shop with ice cream). After all, the staff were very pleasant and polite every visit – especially the early morning crew.

Amazing gourmet and designer donuts. Awesome Cake Donuts, both prefabricated and made to order choose your own toppings and Drizzles from one of their great combinations. Friendly and fast service. Must have these decadent treats!

Came here early on Friday morning. Place was small, cute and clean, and the service was warm and friendly. It took a few moments to find out the donuts, but the results were worth it. Donuts came warm and fresh, and were thick and rich with taste. Make sure you have water or coffee with you because you need them for these really handmade donuts (and you will probably never want these light airy sugar puffs ever to eat again at a Dunkin donuts!

This is a lively little place that offers ice cream, donuts and coffee. The first time we stopped here, we had ice cream and it was pretty decent. No complaints, children ate everything. At the next visit we decided to arrive early in the morning for Donuts. I was surprised to see that all donuts were made to order. They came hot and fresh and quite delicious. Not the best donut I ever had, but a really good donut. It is worth a stop if you are looking for hot donuts and a good cup of coffee on order. My only complaint is that the service is pretty slow when you get a drink. Even at night when the ice rush is on them seem to be short staff and overwhelmed serving customers.

I have been an OKI regular since about 1998-1999 when my great aunt uncle bought a place on the island. We come several times a year and just love it! Last week we picked up a dozen of assorted donuts for the family not one single complaint! They were delicious. The coffee was also amazing! The best coffee I had all week! We will be back soon
