Penny's Place - Oak Lawn

Super fun place!! And the typical diner food, burger, fries, tots, onion rings, handmade milkshakes were exceptional! Morgan was running the diner during our visit her friendliness attentiveness was above beyond! Great place to eat, even better place for a Family Fun Retro experience!!

Not sure about the owners business model as they have one person working and doing everything. We were the only customers, so we were a bit nervous we made a mistake stopping there. All 4 members of family said they were surprised how good the food tasted. If you have some patience, stop in for some good food.

The food at Penny's is pretty much what I'd expect at a 50's style diner. Theres not a thing wrong with that. Its got charm and a nice greasy spoon vibe. My only complaint is that the couple of times I've gone in, regardless of how busy, it seems to take quite a while to get our food cooked, Which is unlike most diners of its kind I've been in. If you aren't in a rush, want that 50's vibe, and like your food just a little heavy, its a good place.

4 years ago when we moved here it was the first place we felt welcome and at the same time at home. Only place that we have went, restaurant wise that we feel like we are welcome. Thank you to the staff and manager y'all are the best, food is great too!

We had breakfast here three days in a row because we had vouchers from the hotel we stayed at. The breakfast is pretty good, but kind of pricey. If not for the discounted vouchers, we probably would have eaten elsewhere because of the price.
