Victory Italian Oak Park

Amazing!!!! The food, wine and service was exceptional! Out server, Dan was beyond amazing with recommendations, appreciated attention to details and culinary knowledge. HIGHLY recommend this neighborhood gem!

My recent visit to Victory was very good. There were 4.of us. The salad shared with all, the NY strip with spinach and mushroom risotto that I shared was amazing as expected. The pasta dishes were also very good.

For an Oak Park upscale restaurant, this is an unusually good address. The food was very good, with good service. The atmosphere indoors was comfortable although tablecloths for dinner would be better. A relatively large Italian and New World wine list but whose prices are “off the wall” and unreasonably expensive. The food is also expensive as were cocktails. These price point issues convert it from an everyday, weekly, monthly experience to a “special occasion” spot as was evidenced by the other diners celebrating birthdays or other special occasions around us. Would recommend the restaurant but for only a once or twice a year visit. Equally good but better priced Italian fare is available only a mile or so away.

Victory Italian is a great Oak Park spot for traditional Italian food…staff is courteous, professional and very friendly. We had a reservation an a busy Saturday nite and there was no wait! Cocktails are creative, and a nice pour, there is a very nice wine list with specials offered. We drank the Nero d’Avola which was very good. Portions are VERY large..and the two pastas we had were a bit over sauced, but pasta cooked perfectly. The special Zuppa DiPesce presented a huge amount of seafood and pasta..could feed two people! For us it’s a very good and reliable place to have a meal with friends…a broad menu with something for all types of eaters to enjoy. Pricey, but basically in line with similar places in the area!
