Waffle House - Oak Ridge

Ordering 9 waffles is amazing love you guys yall are amazing next time ill call in advance lol

It's waffle house. It is what it is. This one was clean and pumping out orders at lunch on a Thursday. I never leave waffle house unsatisfied. Just needed a quick nap after lunch.

My wife and I have eaten at many Waffle Houses over the years. This one really takes the award for the worst. Chili wasn't hot enough to malt cheese. The rest of the food was not good,but edible. The staff seemed very bothered, when you asked for your drinks to be filled after waiting for awhile.

What can I say? Waffle House is that friend we aren 't proud to say we know. They 're the friend that 's a little too loud and a little too friendly. We quietly ignore them in a crowd until you really need them. We are as ashamed of knowing them as we are of how we treat them around others. We pretend that better places like iHop are what we really like, but we all know when you need a friendly smile and a hot cup of coffee on the table to soothe your aching head, Waffle House is where we crawl back. This location is no different. Jet lagged and unable to sleep, I crawled back to the only friend open at o 'dark thirty. The wait staff here was great, warm and inviting like I came in everyday. The food was comforting and quick and the coffee was perfect. This place was perfect and I 'll proudly say it was some of the best food I ate in Oak Ridge.

Last time (a while ago) we were here it was not busy, at all, only one or two other tables with people eating. We went in and sat down and the waitress said she’d be right with us. She attended other people and then… we waited. And waited. And waited. Then we left. She was too busy counting out slips of paper to take our order apparently so we left. I’m not sure she even saw us leave.So today we try Oak Ridge again. I ordered scrambled eggs and sausage and husband ordered ham/cheese omelette with hash browns. Everything was COLD except the omelette. I set my food at the edge of the table but she never came back.When we first moved here (20 months ago) we went here pretty regularly and it was good but after repeated issues the last several times, we started going to any other location and have consistently had a better experience the food is hot and service is genuinely friendly. It’s a shame because they’re only 5 minutes from us but it’s worth a few minutes more for hot food and good service..Also, husband used bathroom and said it was filthy and gross.
