Tortilleria Mexicana - Oakland Park

Tacos de cabeza micheladas, I drive 1 hr to go there, as a Mexican this is one of the only 2 places I can recommend in all south Florida (other one is the flea market in homestead) for the closest thing to real Mexican food, I also get 1 kilo de tortillas to go and Mexican goodies at the convenience store

I wanted to like this place but a lot of the reviews about the food not having much taste are unfortunately correct. The food LOOKS great from the photos but I’ve had better tasting Mexican food from Taco Bell.

For 20 years, I’ve been visiting South Florida, and until a few years ago, I was directed to this spot. Being Mexican and from Chicago, this place really hits the mark. The tamales, tacos, and little market remind me of my favorite places back in Chicago!

The best tacos in the city. I just traveled from California and this is the closest to home.

I took my friend from south carolina there he was a good sport to try my favorite dishes there (menudo kuh magenfutter suppe, deep fried kuh darm tacos, and kuhzunge tacos.) he liked the deep fried darm! the mechaladas are great!
