Between The Bun - Oakland

I ordered a large to-go clam chowder, and as you can see in the photo, it was only half full. Along with a few other items, I was hoping for a satisfying dinner, but I ended up having to make a frozen pizza afterwards. It was definitely not worth the money. I can already guess that the owner will probably respond claiming they will address this issue. I really should have read all the negative reviews before making my choice.

They’re really taking advantage of people's money and appetites. This place is absolutely disgusting! How are they still in business? My favorite seafood restaurant was closed, so we chose Between the Bun as our backup, but it should be more like a last-resort option! This should be the final place to consider if all else fails, honestly. The photos on their website are misleading, making you think you'll be getting a decent lobster roll. The bun is just a sweet Hawaiian roll, the waffle fries taste like they came from the frozen section at the grocery store, and the mac and cheese is basically Kraft from aisle 13! Paying $60 for the main event and four sides felt like throwing money away for a disappointing meal that left me with a stomach ache.

I ordered a $23 lobster roll with 50% extra meat, based on some enticing photos I had seen in other reviews. Unfortunately, what I received was the smallest portion I have ever encountered, to the point where it felt like a scam. For the same price, I could have purchased a whole lobster, but instead, I ended up with less meat than what you'd find in just one claw. Disappointing!

This place is unacceptable! They don’t even stick to their posted hours! We wasted gas driving here only to find it closed, even though the hours indicated they should have been open. I won't be returning! What a terrible impression for new customers!

This restaurant used to be absolutely delightful, especially for its delicious lobster buns. What happened? Why is it always closed now? They initially put up a sign for Cluck Chicken, and then they just stopped opening a few months ago. I really hope they reopen soon so I can satisfy my craving for those lobster buns!
