Brotzeit Lokal - Oakland

Brotzeit Lokal is an unusual bar/beer garden right on the bay in Oakland. I was staying nearby and was very pleased to discover it. They have a modest food menu, including a number of German specialties (I had a two-item sausage platter), a number of beers and ciders on tap, and a full bar. There is both outdoor and indoor seating, all with great views.

The restaurant boasts a stunning location near the Port of Oakland, and the food is exceptional! Be sure to try the Apple Strudel; it's a must-have!

We ordered traditional German dishes, and it took about half an hour for our food to arrive. Half of the order was incorrect, but the error was fixed within minutes. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly, and there’s a fantastic view of the Alameda Channel. As for wheelchair accessibility, it's easy to enter the restaurant, and there are several tables that accommodate handicapped seating.

This is a great spot to gather with friends or colleagues. The atmosphere on Thursday evening was enjoyable, with a solid selection of drinks and authentic German cuisine. The live music added a lovely ambiance to the experience. The location is quite charming, situated by the shore with picturesque views of boats.

Great food, friendly service. Hard to find, but worth it.I really wanted to give five stars, but the restaurant doesn't do split checks. Makes business lunches a pain in the butt.
