Capriotti's Sandwich Shop - Oakland

This is JUST about the cheesesteak...I used to devour these in Vegas, so I was juiced to see them as another option from the competition around the corner. Really cool they offer so many sizes depending on hunger. Let me get the point...using old school cheap "steak umm" slices for the beef is not going to have be back ever. Steak umm was ans is struggle meat. There has to be a better option. Do better, no more for me. Back to the other place :

Sandwich is super good overall but I would recommend doing the salt+pepper yourself. oversalted for sure (or maybe the turkey was overly salty? who knows?

I grew up eating Capriottis in Delaware. Last night I ordered the Italian sub, and today I ordered the Cheesesteak and neither tasted right. Todays cheesesteak was extremly greasy and the meat was chewy. Last nights Italian sub tasted more like a bad subway bmt. : When there was a Capriottis in SJ, it tasted normal, the one in concord too. So im hoping this was just a bad two days. I will obviously) have it when I go back to delaware to visit, and if it tastes like this I will gladly retract my comment and share that it tastes authentic. I will also have other Delawarians try it i will also make sure someone tries the bobbie then) to see what they think. For now, i will stand by my opinion and try to prove myself wrong.
