We were not informed that Osmanthus restaurant would be closed on 1/31/19. Despite having made reservations for February 7th in advance, it seems that Osmanthus did not communicate this closure to OpenTable.
The restaurant was closed when I arrived, which made me wonder if they were out of business. I had made a reservation, so it was frustrating to find the restaurant closed.
Actually, the restaurant was closed when we came there without explanation. However, there was some kind of health inspection suggesting that the restaurant was closed by the health department. After a comment on Yelp, someone thought it was closed the day before we went there. What was particularly irritating is that Open Table could not tell us that the restaurant was closed, although there were many memories that we had a reservation, and many follow-ups in our opinion ask about the restaurant. Reserved a table for a party of four. One of our friends was late, but we were seated anyway. There were actually plenty of tables on a weekday (Th. evening around 7:30. The service was really good. The waitress was really attentive and described the dishes really well. She gave us really interesting information about the cultural backgrounds of the food, while mixing the fresh, delicious ingredients at our table before we ate. The price was really doable considering the amount of food for four people. The dishes were brought out staggered so we could enjoy each one. The cocktails looked really good, but I wasn't drinking that night so I didn't have one unfortunately. Overall, really great birthday dinner experience for my friend.
