Sterlings Breakfast - Oakland

I've ordered from here twice now, and there's always an issue with my order, plus it takes nearly twice as long as expected. The breakfast potatoes were awful; nobody wanted to eat them, so we ended up having to throw them away.

The potato dishes, including Breakfast Potatoes, Hash Browns, and Tater Tots, feature stock images on the DoorDash app, so be aware that the actual items may look very different. Unfortunately, the Breakfast Potatoes were almost inedible.

The house breakfast sandwich was fantastic when I received it. It was hot, the cheese was perfectly melted, and it was made to perfection. The sauce added a nice touch as well. However, the steak, egg, and cheese sandwich did not impress me as much. It was somewhat cold, and I got the impression that it had been sitting in the pre-made area under the warming light, which didn’t do a good job of keeping it hot. Overall, it was not as satisfying as the house breakfast sandwich.

I would advise against ordering from this restaurant. My experiences have consistently been disappointing due to incomplete orders. Most recently, one of the burgers we ordered was missing. This happened again today. They don't have a proper website, so the only way to find them is through Maps, and even then, it's difficult to get help from anyone who speaks English. When you try to call, they often hang up on you. Overall, it's just not a good business. Don't be fooled by the photos—their burgers are always soggy.

The food was a bit greasy, but I expected it to be much worse based on the reviews I read. The sandwiches were prepared as ordered and were surprisingly flavorful for what they were.
