So much so that I scheduled a business meeting here and traveled from Financial District, which was so worth the short BART commute and pleasant walk. I ordered my go-to favorite, the pan-fried cod sandwich and my associate ordered the seared Ahi Tuna salad. We both absolutely loved our meals and it seemed as if everyone else was enjoying their food as well. It was a packed house on a Wednesday afternoon and a reservation is definitely a great idea!
Another great experience at this restaurant. Bonus for us was the porchetta sandwich. In my mind should be available 9 or 10 months a year. Additional bonus for me was running into people we don't see that often. They were there celebrating an unexpected visit from their grand daughter. Just a wonderful time
The burger and fries were amazing. Excellent. My friend had the same and she ordered with avocado and this large one half avocado perfectly thinly sliced came on top of her burger. We got there for 5:30 reservation and service staff very nice. Got very busy very quickly and the noise level does go up quite a bit. Drinks were good and they brought one scoop of their coconut pineapple sorbet out for my friend's birthday free of charge which was very nice. Have been before and will definitely go back.
The food was good but the service was terrible. The waiter was dismissive of me in particular. Maybe because I am minority? However he was not much better with my dining companion, who is not minority. The waiter was also sloppy and spilled my water all over the place.
We've been coming here for YEARS, and it never disappoints. Get the butcher block the pâté, terrine, and rillettes are all housemade and delicious. We both enjoyed the ribeye, and for dessert we shared the puff and a cheese selection. It was a fabulous meal!
