The food was absolutely terrible! It really gives Afghan cuisine a bad reputation. My husband spent $70 on our meal, and I ended up throwing it all in the garbage. I can't even describe what we were served. Please avoid ordering meat here; it was so dry and of the lowest quality that I could barely chew it. I'm extremely disappointed.
The lamb was incredibly juicy, flavorful, and tender! This gyro plate transported me back to some of the best spots in NYC. And that green sauce—made in-house with fresh ingredients and a nice kick! I can't wait to return to try the falafel, fish plate, and curry! However, I found out a year later that it was actually beef and not lamb.
While on vacation, I had a chance to try a halal burger with a lettuce wrap. By far the best burger I ever have had. It was tender, well seasoned, and delicious. Customer service was exceptional. I can?t wait to come back and try again.
I ordered the laubili pallow plate, which comes with rice and lamb shank. The food was outstanding and reminded me exactly of the flavors I experienced in Afghanistan. While I can't speak for any other dishes at this restaurant, I highly recommend the lamb and rice dish; you should definitely give it a try—you'll love it!
