Morava Pizza And Grill - Oakville

Just moved into the neighborhood so for the past few days, we’ve been scoping out places to eat. This was right around the corner, so we decided to grab a bite to eat from Morava before heading out to a bit of fishing.Placing the order on the phone was easy and pleasant. The person who took my order was kind, helpful, and took my order quickly and efficiently.I went in for pickup and it seemed to be a nice, family-owned restaurant. The gyro was ready and the pizza was coming right out of the oven when I went there. The service was amazing and they were a delight to speak to. Pickup was smooth and painless.We ate in the car before heading to the lake so it was hot and fresh. Let me tell you, the food was great. The pizza isn’t apizza, but it still tastes amazing. Fresh, crisp, and in my opinion, the perfect balance of sauce, crust, and cheese. The whole family thought it was the right ratio. Delicious.The beef and lamb gyro was truly fantastic! Not over seasoned, tasted fresh, and was very large. Don’t be scared away by the price; food cost has gone up everywhere and this is good quality and quality. Great bang for your buck.We will most definitely be back. I always forget to ask for napkins and plates, so if Morava would take the initiative to ask, that would elevate the already great service to the next level. I’m eyeing those Albanian Style Meatballs for next time, and I’m going to ask for extra Tzatziki on the side. It was that good.

Finally! The best tasting Gyro in Connecticut! I’m so glad I stopped. The meat was well seasoned, Tzatziki sauce was amazing and the pita grilled to perfection! This will definitely be where I go to get gyros. Thank you, for a great experience!

I’ve been here multiple times, it is always great. Friendly staff, and the gyros are the best. They are Huge so go hungry.

Friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious, seasoned perfectly. The dining are was clean. 5 stars all day. I had the special beef and lamb platter, will definitely be coming back here again, I can’t wait to try the rest of the menu! Very family friendly and the food came out fast. This place is a hidden gem. Ps the garlic knot bread was next level. I would have taken a picture but I’m writing this after eating. Six stars should be an option.

So far, I’ve tried the chicken gyro, kebabs, and pizza. All are delicious! The meat is to die for, the veggies are fresh, and the tzatziki sauce is amazing. The service is fast, friendly, and the restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere. I 100% recommend!Edited to add- The pita is amazing!!
