I tried the pho soup and I would say it was below average, especially because it was served with a dried lime and lacked the typical pho flavor. Additionally, the bowl was overwhelmed with large pieces of white swirls that overpowered the taste. It tasted more like a combination of chicken and beef bouillon soup. I sat by the window at a long table and noticed a significant amount of dust and cobwebs on the table decorations, very close to where I was eating. The soup spoon was also not the typical size for pho. As mentioned by a previous reviewer, the staff wore rubber gloves, handled my money with them, and continued serving others without changing gloves. While the other dishes served here may be decent, the quality of the pho and lack of cleanliness impact this review. Making a few simple improvements would greatly enhance the dining experience.
I love having lunch at this place! The Lemongrass Chicken Banh Mi is amazing! The owner is very friendly and the ingredients are extremely fresh. The daily specials are also delicious. My only complaint is that they are only open Monday to Friday.
I tried a couple of the signature sandwiches, the Swarm and the Shun. They were made with super fresh ingredients and were put together very well. I really enjoyed them and will definitely be coming back regularly.
Was in the mood for a good track mi sandwich and the only in the opposite was B’s. it is in an industrial area, but modern and clean inside. minimalist ambiente. contemporary. the person at the desk was very friendly and helpful. he's likely. the owner and treats all with care. my chicken is very good. perfect roll. many chickens and fixations. the saucy was perfect: spicy and brownish. not too many fresh jalapeños. very nice. they do not offer a cattle-back-mi in the rule, so my partner ordered a tuna band mi. unusual, but edible. the thunfish was not as generous as the chicken, but overall the sandwich tasted good. not the best banh mi ever, but far away from the worst. will it do if this is going to happen again.
Middle of the week and my wife and 2 yr old son were feeling some pho; me, some banh mi! What?? Banh mi?!?? ….West of 427? Thank god for Wonton Wednesdays or I would have never stumbled into this diamond in the rough, hidden in...the backroads of Oakville, on Wyecroft Rd, between South Service Rd West and Westgate Rd is B’s Banh Mi. We walked in and stared at the chalkboard menu on the wall. My wife was set with the special of the day, but I had a choice to make. For my sake and for the restaurant, this decision could make or break this relationship I wanted sooooo very bad – a little dramatic? Sure, but if you’re still strolling down memory lane with me, I think you already understand this conundrum. ; I made an executive decision and went with the ‘Triple B Meatball’ Banh Mi, spicy homemade juicy pork meatballs with fresh basil. Geez! 3 huge clementine sized meatballs perfectly set in a fresh French roll, topped with picked daikon and carrot slaw and of course jalapenos to kick it up a notch! I’ll be honest. I was expecting a messy affair. But, I would not be mistaken in saying this sandwich was perfectly architected! There were no free balls and no more than one napkin was used. The sauce was NOT the main attraction. It WAS all about the meatball, held between a guilt free bun which had purpose…and I’m not big on empty carbs. Yes, I did have to share it. I know better for next time. Just order 2. My wife’s wonton soup was a winner as well. It’s only fair I got to taste it. You can taste the depth of that broth, and know that they simmered it for nearly a day and not resort to salt like so many other restaurants to make it happen. My son enjoyed the noodles too – he’s a picky eater, but he know his noodles! I’m excited to give B’s Banh Mi the full 5 stars. They deserve it. I’ll be back. Just have to think logistics of how I can get there every day of the week to try all their specials. Good luck to the friendly owner. I missed asking him his name. I’m sure I’ll get it next time. It’s only polite given this start of this new relationship. : Dean, from Milton
