Corks Restaurant - Oakville

This is a Tapas restaurant with a few main dishes. Great personalized service in a slightly hidden location. I got the impression this is a favorite with locals, and that they have a lot of regulars. The empanadas and artichokes were great Tapas and the steaks melt in your mouth! Great place for an intimate evening or a nice business meal!

My wife and I had dinner at Cork's for the first time. The appetizer was tasty and the chicken supreme my wife had was ok. I had the chef's signature dish, the paella which was disappointing. I have had paella in many restaurants and this was the least tasty. The service was excellent and the ambiance is cozy and nice. I would go back to try other items on the menu.

Known for its wide variety of beers, and really just another trendy hangout good for the middle age crowd and those aspiring to be middle-aged. Food is all fat based and hard to find something healthy. Fries, calamari, and onion rings, and stuff like that. The only good thing about it is the patio that borders Lake Ontario - in the summer breezy and pleasant.

I had lunch here on saturday with a friend. This was not my first visit to Corks-nor will it be my last.The decor is lovely here and the service warm and welcoming. We had lunch inside because of the heat, but the patio is a lovely, flower-filled oasis.Corks is a tapas restaurant, so it's fun to order a few different items and share.We had the green salad with goat cheese and it was very fresh and good. We then shared the sliders and the chicken pineapple tacos. Of the two, I preferred the sliders, which were to and delicious. The tacos were good, but could have used more filling. We also shared an order of guacamole, salsa and home made chips-delicious.Corks has an excellent selection of wines by the glass, well priced at $12. I enjoyed an Italian rosé, perfect for summer. It was not on the wine list and our helpful server allowed me to taste it first. It is things like that that keep me going back to Corks.I am sure that your will enjoy your experience here. The Ceviche is amazing! Great Tapas and wine. Great little spot, a little hard to find the entrance. Worth the trip to Oakville for a great Spanish and Canadian Tapas.
