The service was amazing and we were very well looked after. The roast beef as well as the fresh Oysters certainly added to the experience. The desserts were very good as well. Overall a good experience.
Brought my family of 18 people here for Easter brunch. They keep raising the price each year and it is now $ 49.95 a person. The food was pretty good but the service was terrible. The server pretty much ignored us. Dirty plates piled up around us until I could take it no more and removed them myself. Could not get the server to bring us more coffee or water. Then to add insult to injury there was an automatic 18% gratuity charge added to our bill! Will not return.
It's not well known that the restaurant is open to the public. I have now gone for breakfast and lunch and in both cases the food was very good and the service as well. The location is overlooking the eighteenth hole and is impressive
We decided to celebrate my son's 20th birthday with a brunch at Eighteen yesterday as we love doing brunches. I phoned on Friday and was very surprised that they could fit us in on short notice. Located on the grounds of the Glen Abbey Golf Course, Canada's most famous golf course, Eighteen offers a brunch every Sunday between 11 am and 1 pm - however, we stayed a little longer and never felt rushed. Our server, Mark, was very competent and friendly and attentive to keeping coffee cups and water glasses always full. The big glass windows look out over the eighteenth hole - and the view is beautiful and serene. The food was fabulous and fresh and there was no shortage to anything: a full seafood buffet that includes King Crab legs and smoked salmon, an oyster bar, omelettes made to order, a Belgian waffle bar, carver, chef's signature salad, entrees and desserts. Nothing was skimped on - and the chocolate covered strawberries were my favourite along with the cheesecake selection. At $36.95 per person (adult) it seems expensive, but it is definitely worth the money.Definitely will be back and can recommend the restaurant for families or for a group of friends. If you left the restaurant hungry it can only be your own fault!
I had a last minute family brunch to organize for 9 people and I called Eighteen at Glen Abbey the day before Easter Sunday brunch and they were so accommodating and managed to squeeze us in. The brunch was amazing, filled with selections of fruits, seafood, meat, desserts, and pastries. There was no leaving hungry! Our server was very friendly and patient with the younger family members, this is a first lass brunch, with first class quality.
