I was concerned we were dressed a bit too casual for such a nice place but we were seated immediately and without judgment.Good selection of wine and a great menu. I got the scallop risotto and it was fantastic. The second time I went I was alone and asked to sit at the bar. Staff was hesitant and said they don't usually seat people there but they allowed me to dine there. The place was busy and there were only 2 employees at the front of the house. Both were very friendly and welcoming. I got the steak friets and it was excellent.Definitely one of the best restaurants in the area.
Has anyone that's a visible minority been treated kindly at this restaurant? I didn’t read the negative reviews until I came on to post mine and echo all of the comments about unacceptable customer profiling and racism. I’m even more disgusted with this Oakville establishment having read other people’s similar experiences and imagine others that didn’t identify race being the issue for the offensive service are also visible minorities. I came here with my husband to celebrate our anniversary but couldn’t stay as we were dumbfounded by how blatantly rude and racist our server was towards us. Very pretentious atmosphere. At one point my husband tried to brush it off and asked about the seasoning in the oil served with the bread, to which she stared at him blankly, provided an abrupt response and then cut him off as he was responding by asking him to pass back the menu. Have never had to leave a resto for being treated so disrespectfully. The owner interestingly has nothing to say in response to all of these consistent experiences of racism speaks volumes.
The food was impeccable, so delicious. I had the scallop risotto I loved it, 10/10! Will be back.Kid-friendliness: They were very accommodating right away for my 4 year old nephew.
We went to Jac's Bristro for my birthday. This was the first time at the restaurant and I thought I would try it as they have great reviews. The calamari is sooo tender. Never tried calamari this good. We split the mushroom salad was was really good and the pear salad. The pesto pasta was tooo salty. I had the blackened sea bass. It was really good. The tiramasu was to die for also. Great food. Great server.
Cute little spot this is!! A hidden gem. They had a good variety of entrepreneurs and appetitezer offerings.Vegetarian options: They will accommodate.
