Niwa Japanese - Oakville

I came here on a Monday at lunch with my husband and my son.It was not very busy. There was one waitress, and I believe only one chef (but maybe another in the back?)My husband and son ordered a sushi lunch special, the dynamite roll and the avocado roll. We made a slight change and they seemed annoyed at the change and charged us $2 for the change. Fine.I ordered spring rolls, a mango avocado hand roll and a teriyaki beef.My son and husband got their meals WAAAY before I got anything.However, I saw on the ledge that their sushi was sitting for a good 15 minutes before the waitress brought it over.The nori was way too chewy, practically inedible. My mango avocado hand roll finally arrived, nothing special.My spring rolls finally arrived. They were ok.My beef teriyaki finally came a good 30 minutes after my husband and son got their food. It was ok.Basically, you’re paying good money for mediocre food and terrible service. People came in after us and were getting their meals well before we did.We will never come back.

One of my favourite sushi places in Oakville. Great quality of fish and food, friendly service, and a relaxing decor.

The service is top-notch, prices are fair, and the food is delicious. It doesn't get much better than this.

I ordered salmon teriyaki and cucumber maki. Both were delicious. They served complementary salad and miso soup. The miso soup was the best I had so far.

A very decent place hidden at the corner of the plaza. If you really like some rice and sushi, you should check out their lunch special(until 3pm). You can get a whole bento with Miso and vegetables in under $20. I stopped getting those fast food non sense since I found this place.
