Oaks Gardens Restaurant - Oakville

I have been ordering from this restaurant for over 30 years, since we moved to Oakville. Excellent Chinese food, but unfortunately they have ruined their reputation this evening with very very poor customer service. I placed a very large order for 6:00 PM, as I was having company. The food was delivered at 5:10. The delivery person would not take the food back, so I had to call the restaurant. They explained that they were very busy and that’s why they delivered it sooner. I explained that they should’ve called me and asked me if it was acceptable . I did not get a call from them nor would they compensate me in anyway. In my eyes that is very poor customer service and I urge everyone to stop ordering from them. So now I have two huge bags of Chinese food getting cold on my counter while I wait for my company to arrive. Shame on you Oaks Gardens, shame on you!

Food is adverage nothing out of the world, i have had orders from here to my house an one dine in all where not that great. the dine in was bad service an generaly not a clean place. for a take out deal it will get you by if yer hungry an need something right away..but not on my list of places to visit even though i have tried it a few times

I have gotten to know the new owners here as they took over from a well establised owner that sold it to them as he wanted to collect CPP OAP. The inside of the eatery has not changed much but some minor repairs here and there keep the eatery presentable in my personal opinion. They od alot od take or orders and Skip the Dishes do alot of their deliveries as well but still have kept on the same delivery person despite his limited hours working there. They have changed up the menu abit but the food is still good just like the pervious owner. Some staff speak reasonable good English while the cook in the back kitchen does not understand English at all. Prices are reasonable. Still a good eatery to come come no matter how you want to get your food here in my very humble personal opinion!

The ONLY thing my kids wanted was Chicken Balls. Ordered over $100 of food and when the delivery came we noticed we were missing the Chicken Balls. I had to call four times to request them to send the CB. They refused to send the driver back, refused to let me speak to a manager and told me I could come and pick them up. It’s New Years Eve...Don’t want to drink and drive. The only reason I gave one star is because the food is actually ok. But I have 4 disappointed Teen Agers.

Spent over $100 on delivery in Mid December for 4 people as an apartment warming visit/meal for son and daughter in law who just moved into area. Did read reviews first but this turned out to be a bad choice, never to be repeated. Was frankly embarrassed to serve it. Quality was terrible, Chicken Balls were well overcooked to dark brown and tough and other dishes were mush. Ordered Moo Shu shrimp and so-called pancake wrappers looked like unwrapped handwipes and disintegrated upon touch. With exception of battered shrimp whole lot was inedible. I really don’t like to leave a bad review but nor do I like to experience, or see others, waste money.
