El Sombrero - Oakwood

El sombrero has a special place in my heart my father took me as a little girl, this was the only place he never had to force me to finish the plate. That was the last place he ever took me until he died too late. To this day I'm always finished with my plate the food is amazing. Get the Enchiladas!

The food here is great and the waiters are very friendly. It might get crowded in the weekends but apart from that it was good.

The Salsa for the chips is just delicious! Maribel was our server today, she is great and attentive, she told us that they make their own salsa, with natural ingredients, that’s why is so tasty, not too spicy. The food was out quickly, and everything was really good, we are coming back soon for more chips and salsa!

I have been visiting “El Som” since 1994. They recently renovated the entire inside, to include new booths and a full bar to sit at. If you were there before, I encourage you to come back and see what they have done with the place! The food is always fresh, the beer is always cold, and the margaritas are strong. Portions and heavy hands are what you can expect when you come to get some authentic Mexican food. Texas fajita nachos is a recommended dish, one of my favorites if you like chicken, steak, and shrimp. The staff is quick, and food comes out without an extended wait.

New in town looking for a great local Mexican restaurant and we found one here. I’m very picky and I loved our meals.
