We have been disappointed until we tried Oatley Chinese! From start to finish, this place was amazing. A friendly man took our order over the phone, and the manager delivered our order promptly and hot. The food was delicious, with generous portions and fresh ingredients. After eating, we didn't feel too full and had plenty left over. Special thanks to the man who delivered our food, he was so welcoming and gave us recommendations for future orders and insights about the area. We will definitely be returning - keep up the great work!
This local Chinese restaurant is a hidden gem that you may not know about unless you are a local. The food is of high quality, made with great ingredients and good cuts of meat. The portion sizes are generous and not too oily. I would recommend the Chinese dishes over the Malaysian ones. The standout dishes are the shredded beef in Peking sauce and lemongrass lamb, which are the best I've ever had! The only downside to this place is that it can feel a bit cramped, and the staff can be very rushed due to how busy it gets. This can result in long wait times before your order is taken or food is brought to the table. The ambiance is not a strong point, as the color scheme and lighting are very bright, and the noise from large groups can bounce off the walls. The restaurant does a lot of takeaway orders, so the kitchen can be quite busy. However, once your food arrives, it is definitely worth the wait. I recommend making a reservation for special occasions, such as Chinese New Year, and for Friday/Saturday nights.
Also known as Taste of Tang, I tried their Vegetable Tofu Hotpot after ensuring with a second server that it was vegan. I was pleased with the dish they brought out, even though it wasn't in a traditional hotpot style. The meal was piping hot and filled with fresh vegetables such as baby corn, wong bak, broccoli, zucchini, green beans, carrot, shutaki, straw mushrooms, black fungus, water chestnuts, and deep-fried silken tofu. The only downside was that the zucchini was slightly undercooked. The portion size was generous, and although I could have taken some home, it was so tasty that I finished it all. If I were in the area again, I would definitely order it once more. Finding street parking was fairly easy on a Friday night, and we were seated upstairs. I felt reassured by their adherence to COVID safety guidelines.
Hands down best Chinese in Sydney. Have a wonderful experience every single time I eat here. The manager goes above and beyond to ensure the patrons are happy. Personally recommend the three cup chicken, but honestly you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. It’s best to call and make a reservation because it often packs out around seven.
This is one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. The food is outstanding. There's a standard range of Chinese food but then you have a range of fusion food that is mouth wateringly amazing. It can get pretty busy on a Friday/Saturday which does mean for dinner it's not the speediest of meals but it is well worth the wait!If you like Brussel sprouts you absolutely have to try the brussel sprout and cauliflower dish even if you don't you should probably try it! We've converted many a devout anti brussel sprouts person.
