I couldn't eat them all, and I had a bowl 1/2 full of soggy tortilla strips. also from any reason are the smallest agua frescas they offer 1 liter. I didn't want what my wife wanted us to get 2 liters, which was ridiculous. beyond that, my jamaika almost certainly came out of a package and was way too sweet. the worst thing I ever had and I ended up with only 2 sips, 2 sips for 110 pesos doesn't seem so much.
Came by for breakfast today with our small group. Very nice airy relaxing environment. Good coffee, especially the Cafe de Olla. Nice selection of breads and good jam. We had a variety of regional dishes that were all very good. The tomatillo sauce on the...heaves rancheros was nice and bright. The egg taquitos with chorizo have a creamy smooth sauce. There is also a nice selection of other dishes that we would like to try on a return visit. Total bill was less than 10 USD per person. This is a place I could find myself coming back to again.
The dish that came with 5 moles was amazing and unforgettable! The Almandatillo (sp? mole was loved by all of us. Took me a while to do this review as I had to search this place (we visited at night .... Service was excellent! Cheers!!
Stayed at Parador San Miguel this restaurant is in the hotel. Solid dinner...really great breakfast! Attentive and friendly staff. Not ‘art food’ but a fine place to get a good Oaxaquena meal. Enjoy.
