Contribuisci feedbackBest pasta in Mexico. Tried the Arrabbiata, Prosciutto y crema, and Bolognese. All divine. The wine selection is decent, but nothing spectacular. The Mezcales selection is better and it is the only place in the city where you can buy bottles from Mezcal. The atmosphere is cozy and warm with great jazz and blues play soft in the background. The location is operated by two people, the chef and the server and is popular with local Italian expats. Expect to wait for your food!
That's been popular for a while. The flavors are always rich, I have a number of go-tos on the menu, but it is a place where exploration is rewarded. Long list of wines to buy and take home.
Amazing homemade pasta at great prices! Nice quiet atmosphere right on the main part of town. They have an unbeatable wine selection on this coast, better than any of the expensive restaurants, as they function as a wine store too.
There is nothing whatsoever about this cozy little restaurant that could be remptely mistaken for pretentiousness. There are perhaps six table, set upon a floor of sand and under a roof of palm thatch. No matter. Chef/owner Mauro, Italian by birth, has been cranking out excellent, authentic Italian comfort food since sometime in the last century. Nothing extravagant, no culinary party tricks, but rather great helpings of well-prepared, lovingly seasoned home-style meals. The pastas are consistently al dente, and the entrees are always flavorfull. He also seves one of the best flans in town—all somewhat miraculous in that he operates a one-man kitchen, even washing the dishes! Wines, and a full bar. Prices very reasonable.
Consistently good food, service and atmosphere! But if they fill up quickly!
