El Quinque - OAXACA DE JUÁREZ

This place had been recommended to me. Only about 7 or 8 tables but nicly decorated. I chose the BBQ chicken and it was fantastic. A generous piece of chicken fillet cooked to perfection, sitting on a bed of roast potatoes. Also beans and carrots and a simpke side salad of lettuce, tomato and capsicum. The sauce over the chicken was tangy and complemented the entire meal. The only downside is that the restaurant does not seem to serve alcohol. Service was prompt and friendly. But sometimes that is not a bad thing.

Mainly by default... it's the only decent looking burger we saw in the city, but they make a great classic beef burger, meat cooked to perfection with potatoes on the side. A great break from Mexican food, and awesome conversation & hospitality from Carlos

A small unpretentious place with a very simple menu but everything is delicious, portions are generous and prices are very good. We had the hamburger and the steak and both were great. Come with a salad, skillet potatoes, guacamole, and assorted vegetables, depending on the dish. Flavored water is delicious. We ate there twice already during a week-long visit and are likely to come again. Very friendly!

La verdad que cuando llegamos volví a checar Tripdvisor y los comentarios sobre este restaurante, me costaba creer que la gente opinara tan bien de este lugar, pero con el correr de los minutos empecé a darme cuenta que si era este y ni hablar cuando llegó la comida, todos los platos espectaculares, lástima que lo descubrimos justo el día que nos íbamos de Oaxaca

To say we loved this place is an understatement. The food was excellent, especially the Arrachera (flank steak). We ate here 3 times during a 2-week visit and would have eaten there at least once more but we felt as if we should try a few other spots too. Some things to know: they can't sell liquor but you can bring your own beer and wine; it's a gathering spot for English-speaking residents, but that doesn't mean the food isn't authentic, and delicious. Don't miss it.
