Best Japanese restaurant in oaxaca, and honestly, in mexiko. I just came back to méxico after I lived a year in japan and kintaro makes me as if I were right back on the streets of japan, where I eat Japanese! the seafood rays is a must and in the ground everything else on the menu! affordable and great environment. I would definitely recommend a reservation as it is super popular. 100% recommended!
Great atmosphere, the Japanese vibe is definitiw since very polite waiter, everything seems perfectly organized. I had a roll and ram, both were prepared and presented really well. very noble restaurant, perfect for a romantic dinner etc. the prices are ok aswell, 80/140mxn for small/large trembling.
The best sushi spot in the city. the seatangsalat, vegetarian ramen and lycheeeis were incredible. the ambiente is also great. in a large courtyard there is a lot of distance, which also has sections that are somewhat more closed. the art on the walls is embarrassing and also really entertaining. that is a must if you miss Asian food in oaxaca
I've been to some amazing ramen places across the US and in Japan, so I have a very high bar. I had the tan tan men and it was okay. The food is better than the Korean ramen in Oaxaca, but still quite a ways from satisfying and being authentic. What I did love was the setting. The entire space is a work of art; a mix of modern, traditional, Japanese, and Mexican. Three stars for the food. Five stars for the setting.
