La Finestra - OAXACA DE JUÁREZ

We have been living in Oaxaca for almost years eating out at least twice a week and the Pizza from La Finestra was very good and the best we have found so far here. We have eaten at some of the other pizzerias reviewed...here and the quality was not consistent or poorer than La Finestra. Few pizzerias here have Italian sausage and La Finestra does and it tastes great. Pizza crust is thin. Very little tomato sauce, but lots of cheese. the salads are very good. The red salsa picante was acceptable and the carmelized onions and chile chipotle was excellent. Service not great, Crème Brûlée had a nice taste of some Irish creme, maybe Bailey's, but its consistency was more like flan. Overall a very good meal.

On a few species I liked la finestra better than the high hyped mexita. the personal was more personal. the table included 3 small bowls, pesto, caramelized tweepers and a tomato sauce that could possibly have been cat-shaped. I added the swirling to my pizza....you were delicious. the pizza mushrooms and the black olives were tasteful. finally came a medium pizza and a glass red wine well under 200 pesos. that's my gate to place for pizza.
