They do have vegetable/fruit wash, which is not easy to find. Also, at the time of writing, they had silken tofu in a shelf stable package. I did not expect to find that anywhere in Oaxaca. Most of the few shelf stable foods they do have in stock are not vegan. Although, they did point to a tray of pastries that they said were vegan. All were made with white flour and didn’t look that appealing so I didn’t get any. Someone eating there told me that the food was great, but I didn’t try it because reviewers have gotten all different stories from the people who work at this place about whether the food was vegetarian or not. The menu was prominently posted on the wall, and ham was prominently listed as an option in many dishes, with no accompanying statement that it was faux or vegetarian. So beware.
Super simple setup with some menu items and a menu of the day too. When I was there the menu of the day was only vegetarian with cheese, so I had taco al pastor and aqua del dia. It was nothing fancy, but simple and tasty. No plugs for charging electronics at the tables, but they can do it at the counter for you. Wi-fi was ok.
This place is a vegetarian restaurant that serves lots of vegan options. They also have vegan groceries along with the vegetarian groceries. Talked with the manager (maybe owner) and he’s said there’s no meat served here. Also the chocolate cake with strawberries inside was amazing! The menu was mostly Mexican typical plates made vegan/vegetarian. In the cute area of Oaxaca. Also they have kombucha!!
Very nice Restaurant with many self made options e.g. self made vegan pan and more. Furthermore very affordable and tasty! Definitely a recommendation!
