Ming's Wok - Oberammergau

Went with collega at mings wok. Food was really good, tasty, and so fresh. Meals were allso huges. Good service. I' d like lot.

Even though the menu is long and there's a mix of chinese and thai dishes, this is not your avarage asian fusion fast food joint. The chef is pretty amazing and the dishes are prepared with fresh ingredients, with original spices and, most importantly, with love. We had hot pot and the mongolian lamb - highly recommendable!

Well priced excellent Asian food in Bavaria. The ambience left a little to be desired but if you feel the need for something different from Western food, it was great! Had a duck dish that was excellent. No chopsticks which was a little odd but overall great!

My family has the odd quirk that on Christmas Eve we like to eat Chinese take-out. (It is a tasty easy meal after all the rush and effort of preparing for Christmas.)Being on holiday in Oberammergau for Christmas in 2016, we were delighted to find Ming's Wok, and were able to choose a great collection of classic Chinese dishes to take to our apartment for Christmas Eve.Generous serves, and classic flavours, and we could have chosen Thai or Indonesian-Malay foods if we had liked.The restaurant was full of happy customers.Ming Wok is conveniently located a short distance away from the central street of Oberammergau, in the right-angled continuation of the main leg of Dorfstrasse.It may seem strange to look for Asian food in the heartland of Bavaria, but sometimes a different cuisine is just what you want.Ming Wok gives you the genuine tastes of Asian food, and is a gem!I wish it had been available for our previous Christmases in Oberammergau, in 1983, and 1992.

We eat in here wanted something different. The decor is not the nicest but the place is ok. Service was good. Price is ok. We had several dishes to include rice, fried rice with chicken, and shrimp. The fried rice was a little over cooked but eatable.
