The food was good. the uni risotto was very creamy and tasty. parts were small, but somehow expected that in japan.
Casual dining in Obihiro town, using locally farmed products. Very pleasant. Particularly liked the bagna cauda dip for the plate of fresh raw vegetables we'd ordered. Main ingredients were olive oil, anchovy, garlic (and on this occasion fresh cream, although that doesn't feature in the couple of recipes I've just quickly looked at). I'd never knowingly had such a sauce dip.. it was very tasty. Originally from piedmont in northern Italy, and is used fondue style for veg and bread. Anyway, Food Baby is a nice little place. I gather Obihiro is well-known for it's locally sourced vegetables and cheese. There appeared to be another farmers' produce restaurant next door.
We enjoy to meet the warm and friendly boss, Mr Matsuhashi and his delicious food made with locally fresh ingredients.
The restaurant is not good for foreign customer. They mislead the customer that the side dishes is free. But it is not!!!
