I ordered the Snow Lover ($90) and the Ribs ($28), and both were absolutely delicious! I also had the Berry specialty drink, which was really good. As soon as we arrived, our server was fantastic and went above and beyond to assist us.
I’m giving this place four stars instead of five because a couple of the crabs were a little muddy inside, but it wasn’t a major issue. We simply picked out some fresh ones and enjoyed those instead. Out of two dozen crabs, only two were a bit off. I was disappointed to learn that the steamed crabs weren’t using the real Old Bay seasoning but rather a substitute, which I can understand due to supply issues and rising prices. I’ve had better crabs back home in Maryland, but I still found joy in eating crabs on the boardwalk. I hope that the prices for real Old Bay will improve because it was a bit disheartening to miss out on that Maryland tradition. On the plus side, the service was excellent, and the prices per dozen for the crabs were quite reasonable. Thank you for providing everything I wanted to make this trip back home to Maryland special!
If you are on a holiday and are looking for a great bite from the surf with great service, do not look further. Mug Mallet lives up to his name by offering ice cold beer while making an absolute mess of your table while crushing your way to seafood pleasure. The staff is incredibly friendly, service is fast, and the delicious blue crab, lobster and raw oysters do not disappoint!
This place turned my tongue upside down and over its head. The only thing good was the waitress, water, Cole slaw, and the soundtrack they played. The water had more taste than the food!! Just tasteless. My wife?s steam shrimp came out over cooked, her crab cakes looked like it was between a salmon cake and crab cake, the stuffed shrimp was not stuffed shrimp; it was shrimp with crab meat thrown on top with no flavor, the shore fries were slices of cheddar cheese filled with very few sprinkles of crabmeat which looked like it was either microwaved or placed under a heated lamp which cause the dish to stick to the parchment paper. Dam I had a mouth full of paper. The corn was still wrapped in the leaf with no butter. Old bay season and butter seems to be foreign to this place. Not a hint of old bay or butter was taste in my meal. This is the first time I had seafood and never tasted old bay and butter. They also need a janitor or someone to tend to the cleaning of the facility. I went to the bathroom and the hallway is narrow and riddled with cocktail sauce and wet floors. Staff and customers are walking into each other and causing food to fall off the trays. I wouldn?t even offer this food to a rat and they eat trash. The ones who eat here have not tried an alternative I?ve been to commercial chain restaurants and backyard huts who have served better food than this.
