Friday night we were one of four five tables, but it has the air of s very big place with a chic stage for actors etc. Children felt inspired and thanked their manners: The Mac and cheese they ordered, which tasted affordable, as if it was prepared by a Michelin starter chef, no idea what's going on with this sauce, wow! The waitress Elise was more than incredible with her smile enthusiasm and great service. I had a simple chicken Caesar salad and it was just good. Elise gave me a glass of wine to go to the room with a cup
We arrived to our hotel upstairs on a Tuesday night and thought this was a good idea for dinner. This place was dead only one table and a drunk guy that fell down to no one helping him. I ran over and asked if he needed help and someone finally assisted him and made him sit down in the lobby. As for the food. Wife's steak was cooked perfectly and perfect seasoned. I ordered the Orange roughy which was a hair over seasoned if you ask me but it was very good. Little dudes grilled cheese was great quality. Also ordered a couple fried chickens. Both orders came with a lot of chicken. That was very tasty left over! On the pricy side of things but kinda worth it I guess?
We got into the hotel late around 7:30pm, and we were starving, so we took a chance at Horizons! The wait staff was very friendly, our waitress was great. It was not busy at all, maybe 5-6 tables in the entire place. The decor is dated, but clean. We ordered the buttermilk fried chicken, the steak, and my husband had a fish dish. My toddler had the Mac and cheese with French fries. Everything was well seasoned and tasty. The portion sizes are pretty big, and there were leftovers. The price for the steak seemed a little unreasonable for the cut, I believe $45. The total bill for 5 people was $180. I don't know that I'd return, but the experience was fine!
The breakfast buffet is back. We didn't stay at the hotel cuz it wasn't up to par last year. It's under new management but changes aren't evident yet. We'll stay tuned for next year
We went on a Friday night, it was not very crowded when we showed up just after 5 PM. We had two of the house cocktails, one with tequila (el limon and the ripen one was The island time. Both good. For dinner we ordered a half pound of shrimp (about 26-30/ which was very good, and one of us ordered salmon, which was also very good. The other of us had the linguine Alfredo with shrimp which was very filling and large. (Albeit with smaller shrimp than the 1/2 pound . All items were served hot. And the waiter was not familiar with it the beers or wine as we had ordered a Cabernet and dogfish head hazy, And what arrived was a Chardonnay and a dog fish head regular. When informed, he corrected that. The service did seem a little slow, but we were in and out in about an hour. We weren't in a hurry as there was a significant thunderstorm going on outside. Nice view of the ocean from our table.
