We haven’t been there in a few months, but I was greeted with a new sign on the table this visit, an $8 sharing charge. My wife and I normally share a pasta dish (its large , maybe get an extra salad and drinks, so seeing a sign stating I would be charged extra started the night off on the wrong note. I understand some restaurants have a sharing fee, ie Hibachi, but in those cases you split the protein and both get a portion of rice, vegetables, salad and soup, no issue with that. I asked the waiter if the $8 sharing fee came with a larger portion or extra bread or a salad and was told no, it’s the exact same meal, just 8 dollars more. Now my common sense kicked in and I questioned this, he seemed to care less about my concern. The $22 pasta is now $30 for the exact same thing you get for $22, seems illogical.I have two unsolicited opinions from a long-time customer:1. America clearly has a problem, more than 2 in 5 adults (42.4% have obesity (including severe obesity and heart disease is the leading cause of death. If you don’t want people to share, make the portions smaller, charge $12-14, then you end up selling two entrees and coming out a little ahead. The kids’ portion is enough for adults in our family as well. This is a “fee” for trying to make a healthier decision.2. You could provide something extra if you are deadset on charging $8 for absolutely nothing different for the customer. In the end, it’s just one person’s feedback, but the 8 guests at our table joked about this stupid sign all night and how insane that was, we ended up ordering less entrees, drinks, and appetizers than we would have due to the annoyance, we took our “too large” to go boxes and shared at home, 2 minutes away. This will work for the “season” when people will only come once and head back to their home up north or wherever from their vacation, but I can assume this will rub regulars the wrong way and hurt repeat customers.Again, just one person’s opinion and a private businesses can do whatever they wish, customer’s also have a plethora of options in Myrtle Beach.
Great specials and bar! Food is so good, this is always on my date night list!
First time at this joint. They sat us right away. My husband ordered the ribeye steak, and I ordered the blackened salmon. The salmon was the best I have ever had. The steak was a little pricey, but still very good.
Amazing food. Definitely my favorite restaurant in myrtle beach. Service is quick. Bartenders and servers do an awesome job. Atmosphere is very relaxing. Some of the best food in myrtle
