Homeport Lounge - Ocean Shores

8/3/24 worse dinner ever! My wife ordered the captain's plate and the only thing edible was the bake potato and even that was like warm. The fish came out undercooked/ raw and not pleasing to the eye at all. I ordered the two piece cod dinner and it was over cooked and dry. Needless to say it was not worth the $60.00 price tag. We will not be back. So sad as we were celebrating our 44th wedding anniversary. Stay clear!

Decided to give it a try. The reviews didn't look good. Ordered 2 sirloin steaks , one with salad, one with clam chowder. I don't know what people are complaining about. The service was great, even though it was crowded the food came quick and the steaks were cooked perfect. Prices seemed fair. Really no complaints. Will definitely go back and try some seafood dishes

The food was terrible was very disappointing. The waiter said that they were know for their prime rib and oh man if they are know for that holy man that's really sad and not only that the mozzarella sticks were bad too and the food had no flavor or anything 3/10. But the waiter was nice and funny. And my steak was very fatty and not good. And I hit my head on the low lamp at the table.

The service was slow, and felt like it was thrown at us. The prime rib was delicious , but the chicken was like a rubber ball, too tough to chew and flavorless.

A few friends and I decided to have our final dinner in Ocean Shores for 2024 at Home Port restaurant. I opted for the chicken parmigiana, and it was outstanding! The chicken was a generous portion, juicy, perfectly cooked, and the breading was nearly nonexistent, which I appreciated. It came with a side of broccoli and cauliflower, as well as garlic Texas Toast. The meal also included a house salad featuring greens, plenty of sliced black olives, a tomato wedge, beet slices, and a wide selection of dressings to choose from! My only minor issue was that the toast had a texture similar to that of un-toasted bread, which was a bit disappointing. Nevertheless, the meal was fantastic, and I was very happy with my choice and the way Home Port prepared it. The staff was professional and very helpful. Just a heads up: as of this review, the kitchen staff was new, so the service was a bit slow. Be ready for a wait for a table, but trust me, it's well worth it!
