The waiter sat us down quick on a Friday night but waited 40mins for a server to ask us for drinks and food. That was a big negative. Environment very very friendly and live music on weekends which is a plus on patio area!If you are looking for BBQ! if you are use to soul food BBQ real BBQ avoid this place and check out Felix's or go to San Diego to Bowlegged. Very small places but it's that BBQ you want.If you just want some BBQ and not big on BBQ it may not matter to you. They need better flavor and sauce and I'll return!Kid-friendliness: Family environment
Employees are nice, food isn 't bad. I think there 's a lack of organization. I ordered online. Showed up 5 mins after my scheduled "pick up time "and waited 40 more minutes before my order was ready. Manager was nice and gave me a $25 gift card. (I had to ask) half the food was Luke warm and half was hot. Half the order was wrong and 2 of the 7 plates were missing the sides entirely. The other 5 plates had all wrong sides. The last 2 times I have brought someone for dinner the orders were messed up or the food was warm/cold.
Mikala our waitress/server was polite, expedient, GREAT JOB. She apologized for my cold and lack luster meal, but told her it wasn’t her fault. Male server walk by our table with two platters, then walked past us again with two platters and went to kitchen, came to our table with two similar platters. I asked him if those were the same platters he just walked by with, he said yes, but nobody had touched the food. Tri Tip was old, hard, cold and only the warm bbq sauce on top of it made it tolerable. Onion rings were cold, but Mikala returned with a bowl of warm ones. My wife’s bbq ribs chicken was good, mine totally unsatisfactory for a venue that supposedly specials in bbq.
Best BBQ in California. They seriously know how to cook BBQ and the brisket is to dye for. The Woodfield pizza is absolutely the best. Pepperoni is a little salty. But I'm sure that's how it's supposed to be.Food: 5/5
Excellent atmosphere, outdoor pizza oven, great barbecue sauce and a nice balanced variety menu. Super friendly staff. I was there with a band performing music and we were treated well and the audience was most appreciative the place was full but no waiting line so just right.Food: 5/5
