J Pauls Terrace Cafe - Oceanside

I give this restaurant 5 stars for the exceptional service, especially from my waiter Gunner, who was extremely polite and attentive, checking on me multiple times. My order came out fresh and I was eating within a minute. I had the roast beef café, which was very filling. I appreciate the hospitality.

I had the roast beef Cafe. Delicious. Very tender beef, flavorful au jus and those onion rings are to die for. This is what I had leftover and I was stuffed. I’m in the area for work and what a great neighborhood gem.

We went to this restaurant for dinner and to watch a band. The service was great, and the food was decent. The fish and chips had too much batter, but the fish itself was good once you peeled it away. It seemed like it might have been frozen before being fried. The chicken wings were large and the BBQ sauce was tasty. The onion rings looked and tasted like they were homemade, but I wish they had given us more. Our friends enjoyed the shrimp parmesan with penne and the steak tidbits. The atmosphere was welcoming and we had a great time listening to the band.

Good overall enjoyable experience. Food was good and service was fine.

Perfect place for a quick bite or full meal. Great selection of dinners and drinks. Friendly staff. Great neighborhood bar/restaurant
