Great food and excellent service.Very professional staff.
Hoping for the best we arrived on a Saturday evening for a birthday dinner. Just the two of us. The door to the entrance was dirty with handprints. We sat to read the menu and ordered some drinks. My Cabernet Sauvignon came in a dirty glass. We did not order appetizers but went straight on to the meal. First I will say the decor is so outdated. The menu is antiquated considering the more modern menus nearby. This is not a traditional Italian menu. It is an Italian American menu and not good at that. The meal began with a salad that was so finely chopped, almost pre masticated, Iceberg lettuce some tomato and onion. Does anyone even eat iceberg lettuce anymore? Not modern or healthy. My meal came in what was described as Marsala sauce, but was a pool of sauce with a roll of stuffed chicken and a deep fried mashed potato that was their version of a potato croquet. The chicken was drowning in a salty almost soy sauce flavored brown liquid that was described on the menu as Marsala sauce. Not even close. My meal alone was close to 30.00. Outrageous, for the quality of this meal. The silverware was mismatched and of such poor quality it wasn’t even adequate for a greasy spoon diner. I couldn’t get over it- I was almost unable to cut through my meal. The prices dictated an excellent meal but fell short on every level. My husbands meal came covered in enough cheese to choke on. Good Peroni and Cabernet. Grease, cheesy and sauces abound in these meals. Nothing fresh and authentic. It was a birthday so we were excited to have a dessert. We ordered an espresso, Prosecco and a Napoleon. All drinks were good but the Napoleon was made of phyllo dough with Cool Whip topping and what may have been Nestle chocolate syrup drizzled over the top. There wasn’t even a bit of fresh custard, or fresh cream. This was an absolute imposter and joke of a Napoleon. Why have all the televisions? After spending close to 200.00 this is the end result. This place needs a design update, and a new fresh Italian menu. Not sure who taught the chefs of this restaurant that Italian food meant oil, cheese and grease and white bread with wrapped oats of butter was authentic Italian food. If the staff is to talk about the menu they should know how to pronounce the Italian specialties. It was comical to hear someone put on an imitation Italian accent to describe the menu. Service was adequate and friendly. Very over priced for poor pizza parlor quality food.
