Kilties - Oconomowoc

I have lived in Hartland for 29 years and always knew about The Kiltie, but for some reason, my family had never tried it until now. After my first visit, I can definitely say that it was worth the experience! The classic old-fashioned appearance is charming, and the personable waitress serves the food right at your car door, using a tray attached to the window—just like the drive-ins from the movies! I was also impressed by the quality of the food, which was top-notch for a drive-in. My husband loved it too! Thank you!

The food is consistently excellent, but during this visit, our server discovered it was our son's birthday. They placed a candle in his sunglass and even enlisted three other servers to sing Happy Birthday. To top it off, the owner played "Birthday" by The Beatles over the speakers. It was an amazing experience, and we truly appreciated it!

A Springtime Tradition in Oconomowoc! I visited on their opening night and was impressed by the excellent food and service. One note: The Kiltie only accepts cash. In the past, the waitstaff would always provide your order along with the exact change for tipping, but that didn’t happen during my visit. We had to ask our server to return with the change. This is a fundamental aspect of service—providing change in a way that makes it easier to tip leads to better gratuities. We understand that the kitchen and cashier manage this process, and it’s a small detail that is really important for the overall service experience. Nonetheless, the team did a fantastic job!

Nice little ride in the restaurant. Chicken pots and cheese curds are great! The burger is not so great. And the vanilla ice cream has a strange taste. The waitresses are very good. This place is busy!! Cars are always double parked. You need to know that they only accept cash. No credit cards or checks.
