Genghis Grill - Odessa

This location was definitely better than the one in Midland, but it was somewhat dirty as well. We ordered after a family of four, and they left a bowl that belonged to their table on ours for about ten minutes. We mistakenly thought it was ours and touched it before pushing it away. Then, the staff came, retrieved the bowl, and returned it to the woman it belonged to. That’s pretty unsanitary, especially considering the current circumstances. We even heard her gasp when she realized what happened; she insisted we hadn't touched it, but we did! After that, she was quite rude to us. Honestly, we just poked at the bowl with our straw. I felt terrible and wished we had just asked them to replace the bowl. It was really unpleasant, and there was no apology or acknowledgment of the situation.

What happened was almost comical. I ordered food online, and when my husband went to pick it up, he brought back only the toppings—no rice, which is the foundation of the meal! What am I supposed to do with just toppings? I guess I'll have to eat it. Thanks for only giving me half a meal. I tried to call them to let them know (I had no time to go back for the rice), but there was no answer. I checked my order to confirm that I did include rice, and I definitely ordered fried rice. I ignored all the negative reviews thinking it would be fine—shame on me. I would recommend skipping Genghis and going somewhere else. Update: After I managed to get in touch with them, they issued a refund to my card, which is appreciated. I’ve bumped my rating up to three stars for resolving the issue.

We decided to give this restaurant another chance since our previous visit wasn't ideal. The drinks were unavailable, the service was slow, and our food took a long time to arrive. But we believe everyone deserves a second chance, right? Unfortunately, after waiting for someone to attend to us and experiencing another ten-minute delay for yet another employee to say they'd be right with us, we chose to leave. The restaurant was not busy—only about 5 or 6 tables were occupied—so waiting that long just to get seated was simply unacceptable. We won't be returning and do not recommend this place.

We absolutely adore Jayden! He is consistently on top of his game and knows exactly what we enjoy. His politeness is commendable! We genuinely love dining here because the food is excellent and the service is outstanding. We're always welcomed with smiles, especially from our favorite, Jayden!
