Taste Of India Permian Basin - Odessa

While it may not be the best Indian food I've ever had, my experience at this restaurant was solid. The sweet lassi and entrees were all good, making it the best option for Indian food in the Midland-Odessa area. The samosa chat was also tasty.

Walking into this restaurant feels like stepping into a small shop from 1975. The decor could definitely use some updating, but the food is authentic and delicious. The wait staff, who I believe are all family members, are incredibly polite and kind. The server was very attentive and knew exactly what I wanted. However, I couldn't help but notice some suspicious activity, possibly related to sex trafficking, happening at a nearby table with a Caucasian man. As a hotelier, I am trained to notice these things, and I urge you to keep an eye out for any illegal activities in the area. Additionally, there are unsavory individuals in the back of the restaurant, potentially involved in drug trafficking. If you have a strong stomach, you'll be fine dining here, but if you're more sensitive, I would recommend getting takeout instead. That's what I would do in your shoes.

This restaurant in Odessa is definitely the top choice. The food is one-of-a-kind for the area, incredibly tasty, and reasonably priced. I highly recommend trying the biryani and butter chicken curry. I give this place a perfect 10 out of 10. If you're tired of the typical Tex-Mex options, I urge you to give this restaurant a try. You won't be disappointed. (And don't be afraid to try the medium spice level, it's still very mild and adds a delicious kick even for those sensitive to heat).

We visit this restaurant every time we are in Midland. Run by a family very very fresh food served with affection. Price is standard and great service
