Den Gyldene Freden - Oestermalm

The gyldene freden is really a beautiful escap. the atmosphere was excellent and the noise volume was kept constant low, even if all tables around us were taken up by talk guests. the star is simply beautiful, and so is the restaurant. with a rich history it is hard not to fall in love with such a wonderful restaurant. the staff was very nice and helpful. my criticism is vegetarian however. the presentation fell flat and looked like a die. it was good, safe, but you had to dig around in the food to reach the good things. Moreover, the vegetarian appetizers and main courses were practically the same meal, only in different sizes that were not very funny at all. after the appetit you had fed the food, but then you had no choice but to eat it for your main meal. the non vegetarian food was good, with good rich, and the same applies to dessert and alcohol. I still think that's a beautiful curse.

Stockholm's oldest restaurant is one of it's best. The attention to detail, general feeling, and surprising good value means one should not miss a opertunity to go.

Delicious, expertly cooked dishes. Beautiful setting with a rich history. The restaurant seems to be short-staffed, but our server did a great job despite the challenge.

We had a wonderful time at the restaurant. The food was amazing, and our server Richard was very hospitable. The atmosphere was lovely and we made great memories.
